In dark red - Ahuachapán, El Arco, El Salvador

Kevin has been transferred to Ahuachapán, El Arco. The good news is that the weather is cooler. The less-good news is that before being transferred he and his companion were instructed by the president to stay inside because the gangs were rumored to be upset at the government and inclined to make trouble. He misses his companion and the people he knew in his former area.

Ahuachapán was founded by Mayan Indians of the Pokomanes tribe in the 5th century and invaded in the 15th century by the Izalcos. It officially gained city status on 11 February 1862 and became the departmental capital on the February 9, 1869.
